Police appeal after Battle collision

Police are seeking witnesses to a collision in Battle High Street in which a car and a pedestrian were in collision at the zebra crossing opposite Costa Coffee.

It happened at 1.05pm on Monday February 27 and involved a dark-coloured Vauxhall Corsa car, driven by a woman and travelling north, and a 66-year-old man on foot.

The man suffered minor injuries. The driver initially stopped at the scene but then drove away without leaving her details.

Officers would now like to talk to the driver, as well as anyone who saw what happened.
