Residents will get their first glimpse of a major development planned for the town at a public meeting today (Tuesday, October 6).
Developers are presenting details for houses at Summerfields Business Park at the event at the town hall from 6pm.
The pre-application public forum hs been arranged by Hastings Borough Council.
Another meeting, to discuss a replacement hotel for the Travelodge on Bohemia Road, along with more homes, will be held at the town hall on Thursday, October 15 from 6pm.
The council’s lead member for planning Kim Forward said: “Key stakeholders are invited to attend and participate in pre-application forums and as a result of the forum we hope that the developer will have a better understanding of community expectation before they submit a planning application.
“The meeting is held in public and whilst the public are encouraged to attend and listen, only invited stakeholders, including community representatives, councillors and officers can speak. However, residents can make their representations and have their questions answered through local representatives and councillors.”
