THE Hastings and Rother branch of the NCT (National Childcare Trust) held a Cheeky Monkeys Tea Party to help new and expectant parents in the local community.
Funds raised from the party last Friday (June 22) at the Friends Meeting House, in South Terrace, totalled £125, and will go towards the support that the NCT gives families to prepare for the changes a baby brings and reach out to those in danger of isolation.
Trudie Betts, who organised the party, said: “We were really busy and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They took part in storytelling, arts and crafts, face painting and did singing, dancing, nursery rhymes and music making with Lisa from Tiny Talk, Hastings.
“A raffle was also held with a first prize of £50 kindly donated by The Hastings Baby Shop and everyone left with a balloon and a goody bag.”
