Ore man rescued by firefighters

A man had to be rescued by firefighters yesterday (Thursday, July 30) from his house.

Crews from Bohemia Road station attended the scene in Old London Road, Ore just after 6pm.

Firefighters assisted paramedics in rescuing the man, who was injured, from the third floor.

A witness said the window was removed to allow access to the property.

The injured man was taken to hospital by paramedics.

The road was closed along Victoria Avenue on the north side of Speckled Wood while the operations were undertaken.
