New judge to our club, Jack Taylor, gave us a fresh perspective in judging our first print competition of the new season.

He gave the following photos 1st prize: Flora & Fauna - Joy Baldock’s Opening Poppy Bud; Portrait - Paul Praeger’s Lady with hat and Incognito by Ron Stewart; General - James Ball’s Making Waves; Black & White - Tony Sharp’s Sentinels and Roy Cano’s Whiter Shade of Pale; Landscape - Tony Sharp, Sunrise over Pett Level; Digital Art - Cazina Bromley, Breaking Up and Candid - Colin Rendle’s Surfer.

There were 65 entries in the keenly fought competition.

Our next meeting is an inter club competition v Rye. We meet at 7.30pm for a 7.45pm start at Park Road Methodist Church Hall, Upper Park Road, St Leonards on Tuesday, November 4.

New members are always warmly welcomed. More details on our website at www.ore-st-helens.co.uk.
