TWO overjoyed mums saw in the start of 2011 with the birth of their babies at the Conquest Hospital.
Little Gracie Pont entered the world at 2.30pm, weighing a healthy 6lb 5oz, and was an unexpected surprise for her family, as she was not due for another nine days.
Her 23-year-old mum Jessica, of Parker Road, said: “We are overjoyed and were not expecting Gracie to be born until Monday (January 10).
“She just decided to make an appearance on New Year’s Day and it took us all by surprise.”
Six hours later St Leonards mum Zoe Barnard gave birth to baby Molly, who weighed 6lb 12oz.
