AUTISM Sussex has launched a new project with advice and resources for adults with high functioning autism and Asperger’s syndrome.
At the open day on September, the charity offered visitors taster sessions of courses to be run as part of the project at new resource centre, Roebuck 3.
Courses on offer include Tai Chi, photography, art sculpture, yoga, French, Spanish, a music workshop, and many more.
Specialist employment courses, social evenings, and Asperger’s support groups are also run in this new venue, on Roebuck Street.
Monthly professional training and advice sessions will also be run.
These will cover housing, benefits, financial and budgetary support.
Roebuck 3 will be dedicated to children’s and family support services on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with music groups, youth groups, and workshops designed to help parents understand autistic spectrum conditions.
