A smart new £7m office building which has room for up to 350 staff has opened in Hastings in the latest phase of the town centre’s regeneration.

Havelock Place is located in Havelock Road in the Priory Quarter.

Havelock Place is among a number of quality, new office and retail developments coming on stream in East Sussex. These developments are vital in helping growing local companies find space to expand, as well as attracting companies from out of the county to move to this exceptional location.

Philip Johnson, director of Locate East Sussex

The four story, building has been built by Sea Change Sussex, a not-for-profit economic development company for the county. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, visited the building last August when it was in late stages of construction. Medica Group was the first company to move into the building earlier this year as the radiology business rapidly expands. The new offices stand in Hastings’ Priory Quarter business and education district near the other town centre developments recently delivered as part of the regeneration programme. These include the 45,000 sq ft One Priory Square offices – now home to Saga Insurance – Hastings’ three university buildings and the Creative Media Centre. Philip Johnson, director of Locate East Sussex, a business support service funded by the county, district and borough councils of East Sussex, said: “Havelock Place is among a number of quality, new office and retail developments coming on stream in East Sussex. These developments are vital in helping growing local companies find space to expand, as well as attracting companies from out of the county to move to this exceptional location.” Visit www.prioryquarter.co.uk/havelock-place
