THE University of Brighton has launched a digital TV course for students studying in Hastings.
It will sit alongside current media courses delivered by the Faculty of Arts, including digital film, multimedia broadcast journalism and broadcast media.
The university said the new, practical Digital Television BA(Hons) degree gives students expert teaching by industry professionals, who have worked for companies such as the BBC, as well as opportunities to gain work experience in a number of national production houses.
It added the course will allow students to gain skills in audio and video production and emerging technologies such as interactive content.
The university has expanded the media facilities on offer in Hastings since the campus first opened in 2003.
These currently include a television studio, radio studio, green screen, editing suites and a newsroom with live newsfeed.
To find out more about courses on offer at the Hastings campus book a space for an open day on March 15 or May 10 by visiting the university’s website at www.brighton.ac.uk/hastings.
