National Trust, Hastings and St Leonards Branch

OUR new season of events is now under way.

Commencing with an extremely successful coffee morning held at the Arthur Easton Centre, the new venue allowed for extra stalls and seating. A great start to the season.

The first outing took us to Ashdown Forest under the guidance of a Blue Badge guide leading and driver along narrow windy roads to find local houses with historical stories.

After lunch there was a visit to Saint Hill Manor, home of Ron Hubbard, an author and translator of the 1950s. This proved to be a lavishly furnished home surrounded by rolling countryside.

Our next outings to look forward to include visits to Lancing College, Chiddingston Castle, Capel Gardens, Wrest Park, Penhurst Place and the Olympic Village.
