A MUM of three is running the London Marathon on April 22 to raise money for homelessness charity Emmaus Hastings and Rother.

Old Town resident Thalia Griffiths, a journalist, is a trustee of the charity, which aims to help people out of homelessness.

Residents collect, restore and re-sell donated furniture and household goods, and Thalia’s fundraising efforts come as the charity expands its accommodation, adding six more beds to bring the total to 15.

“This will be my fourth marathon, and I’m thrilled to be helping the Emmaus community grow, but I’ve found the training really hard this time,” she said. “I think I’m getting old.”
