A team of 12 friends have returned from climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, raising close to £20,000 for the local Charity For Kids.

Jo Nesbit, member of ‘Team Kili’ said they were inspired to take on the 5,895 metre climb after an application for help was received for a youngster called Edward, who needed an hydrotherapy pool to assist him with his condition Ehlers Danlos at a cost of around £10,000. “We decided to get a team of people together to complete this challenge and raise the monies required to purchase the pool,” he said. “Currently we have raised over £18,500, expecting to finish at £20,000, which is fantastic!”
