CHILDREN and staff at St Paul’s School raised £1,000 for Macmillan on September 27.
The school held a Working Together Day which enabled parents to come in to school and work alongside the children gardening, painting, and taking part in other activities.
Helen Wallbank, the school’s attendance and behaviour officer, said: “As it was the Macmillan fundraising day, we decided to try to raise some money for this very worthwhile cause. We held a Big Breakfast’, where parents and children came into school for bacon rolls, cereal and fruit juice which was extremely popular. Children bought cakes during the day and then we held an Afternoon Tea. The staff and children made some lovely craft items which were on sale. We would like to thank all the children, parents and staff for their support.”
