Woman injured after Hastings hit-and-run

Police are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run in Hastings that left a woman in hospital.

Officers were called to a report of a collision in Havelock Road, close to the Brass Monkey public house, at 2.40am on Monday, March 28.

A Hastings woman in her 20s was crossing the road towards the taxi rank when she collided with a van, causing her to fall to the ground.

She was taken to Conquest Hospital with minor injuries.

The vehicle, which made off from the scene, is described as a white Ford Transit van with the letters KTM in orange on the rear doors.

It was last seen turning left at the lights towards the railway station.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on [email protected] or phone 101, quoting serial 242 of 28/03.
