A WEBSITE aimed at encouraging locals to feedback their experiences of the local NHS has been launched by the town’s MP.
Amber Rudd wants as many people as possible to visit www.amberrudd.co.uk/ratemystay and share their thoughts on recent trips to hospital, the GP or dentist surgery.
She hopes the results will provide an accurate insight into the state of the local health service from the point of view of the patient. Ms Rudd said:“Traditional feedback is often only received through patient complaints. These often fail to capture the ‘grit’ of the patient experience that comes from hearing personal stories.
Not only does collecting confidential patient feedback help to drive standards and highlight any particular problematic surgeries or wards, it also helps to reward those quiet health providers who humbly carry out their duties, providing excellent care, but rarely getting rewarded for it.”
