Two-day charity blues festival

A TWO-DAY blues festival is taking place September 7-14 to raise funds for St Michael’s Hospice

The first ever Bare-Face Blues Festival will be taking place at the Gecko Bar and Bistro, Grande Parade, St Leonards.

Featured artists will include Buick 6, T-Chest Blues, Kingsize Slim, Jem Turpin Duo, Roger Hubbard and Nelson King Goos Goos.

St Michael’s Hospice has cared for more than 12,500 people with life limiting illnesses in the Hastings and Rother area since it opened in 1987.

As an independent charity, the hospice relies heavily upon donations from the community.

Organiser Barry Taylor, who hopes to make the festival an annual event, would like to hear from other local artists who would like to play at the festival. For more information please call him on 01424 712842 or email barry.taylor145@gmail.com.
