Thug snatches girl’s phone

A HOODED thug grabbed the mobile phone of a student from Colombia after asking her what the time was.

The robber, who was riding a bike at the time, pounced around 7.20pm on Saturday as the 17-year-old victim was walking with a friend in Charles Road outside Gensing Gardens in St Leonards.

He stopped to ask them the time.

But and as she took out her Apple iPhone 5 to check, he grabbed it and cycled away down Anglesea Terrace.

The phones can be worth anything between £250 and £380.

The robber is described as white, around 5’ 8” tall, thin and aged around 18 or 19. He had short dark blonde hair and a thin face and was wearing a grey hooded top and dark grey trousers. Witnesses and anyone with information can call 101 quoting serial 1295 of 22/3, email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk.
