HISTORIAN Andre Palfrey-Martin, who used to DJ and promote on Hastings Pier, will be giving an illustrated talk, entitled Happy Ballroom in the 50s and 60s, next Thursday (May 22).
She will be looking at various bands and groups that appeared on the pier during those decades.
Appearing on The End of the Pier Show, shown on BBC One, Andre, a volunteer at Hastings Museum and Art Gallery, has spent many years researching the music and entertainments on offer in Hastings.
The talk is being held at the newly opened HUB (the old entrance building to the White Rock Baths), situated on the promenade between Robertson Street and The Pier Project.
Doors open at 7pm with the talk due to start at 7.30pm.
Tea and coffee provided. Please book at least 24 hours in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01424 435587.
