Sara Lee Trust plans to expand its charity shops

THE Sara Lee Trust is expanding its charity shops into Hastings and St Leonards after Easter.

The charity provides complementary therapies, counselling and creative therapies to people in Hastings and Rother living through cancer and other life-threatening illnesses with support for their families and carers.

Linda Hodgson, from the charity, said: “Raising money is getting more and more difficult but most people have something they can give us to sell in our shops. We have tremendous support from our local community and 100 per cent of the profit we make goes directly to the charity. We are looking forward to our shops opening in Hastings and St Leonards and to helping ensure even more people will benefit from the special care and support that the charity provides.”

The Sara Lee Trust needs volunteers to help in the shops and if anyone can spare three or more hours per week between the hours of 10am and 4pm they would be made very welcome.

If you are interested in volunteering or donating items to sell contact Linda on 01424 716232 or email charityshop@saraleetrust.org.
