Round Table’s pledge to help kid’s charity FSN

THE organisers of Hastings Beer and Music Festival are hoping to pledge a £30,000 donation to a St Leonards charity.

Hastings Round Table, which runs the annual event, wants to give the money to the Fellowship of St Nicholas (FSN), based in London Road.

FSN is currently creating the St Nicks Training Centre that will incorporate not only nursery places, but provide creative, visionary, inspirational learning and training for 16- to 18-year-old apprentices, students and community volunteers, as well as providing accredited courses for parent/carers and training for practitioners.

Dave Thomas, chairman of Hastings Round Table, said: “It is so rare to find such a worthwhile local cause right on your doorstep that ticks all the boxes, in such a diverse way, at so many different levels of support in the community.”

Stephanie Edmonds, from FSN, said: “We are extremely grateful to the members of Hastings Round Table for their commitment in helping to make a difference to lives of local children, young people and families.

“Proceeds from the festival will contribute to making a significant impact, in helping to improve opportunities for local families for generations to come.”
