STAFF from Hastings Direct transformed the Robsack Centre crèche as part of the company’s A Helping Hand programme.
A small group from the Bexhill-based insurance broker chose to use a whole day to help redecorate the centre, run by the Fellowship of St Nicholas (FSN), which helps children and families in Hastings and Rother.
The small band of staff prepped and cleaned the walls before painting the entire crèche – twice in just one day thanks to wall-to-wall sunshine – and then cleaned and replaced all the fixtures and fittings.
Angie Jakeman, finance manager for the FSN, said: “A huge thanks to the Hastings Direct staff who helped that day for all their hard work painting at the Robsack centre. The room looks fantastic, such an improvement.”
Jay Wootten, community liaison at Hastings Direct, said: “Our staff is keen to help any local organisation, or charity that needs a helping hand. If you are interested in getting us in to help, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with details of your organisation and how we may be able to assist.”
A Helping Hand makes financial, professional and physical support available to the community.
