Police activity linked to Hastings murder investigation

Police and firefighter presence in Hastings today (Tuesday, February 16) is being linked with the disappearance of a Hastings man.

As previously reported, the disappearance of Karl Bunster is now being treated as a murder investigation.

Firefighters were called to The Ridge at 7.30am today to assist Sussex Police.

When asked for more information, a spokesman for the police said the activity was linked with the disappearance of Mr Bunster.

The Observer does not have any more information at this time.

On Wednesday, February 10, a 48-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested in Exeter, Devon, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

The last confirmed sighting of Karl Bunster, was in Mann Street, Hastings, on December 17.
