A green-fingered Pett couple opened their stunning garden to the public last Tuesday (July 15) in aid of a local charity.

Robin and Chris Hutt allowed members of the public to enjoy their private oasis to raise thousands of pounds for St Michael’s Hospice.

The model kitchen garden boasts a three acre sloping garden with lovely views and the kitchen garden has more than 30 raised beds, and a lush wild flower meadow with mown paths.

Sally Beresford, community fundraiser for St Michael’s Hospice, said: “Robin and Chris’ garden is a true inspiration and more than 250 people explored this truly beautiful garden. We are so grateful to Robin and Chris for opening their garden for the Hospice, which raised £2,396 which is fantastic.” The next Open Garden will take place in Bexhill and Little Common next Tuesday (July 29).
