THE LIONS Club presented the Night Church Hastings with a cheque of £1,500 on Saturday, March 1.
Working closely with the Street Pastors, the Night Church provides a safe space for people to go where they can enjoy a quiet space, have someone to talk to, and receive free food and hot drinks.
The Night Church looks after vulnerable people and works closely with the Street Pastors.
Between 60 and 120 people of all ages and circumstances use the church during the night.
Based in Holy Trinity Church, Robertson Street, the church won the Observer Community Bridge Building Award last year and is open on the first Saturday of each month from 10pm until the early hours.
