Hastings is to get a new walk-in health centre offering treatment to anyone from 8am in the morning to 8pm, seven days a week.
The new service, which will be run by Hastings and Rother Primary Care Trust (PCT), will be located in the new Primary Care Centre planned as part of the Station Plaza development.
A special PCT project team is developing the plan for what services the walk-in centre should offer and they want to hear what local people have to say.
As part of this process the team held a focus group session on Monday where those who attended were given the latest update on how the project is progressing and were asked how they think the new centre can best meet local needs.
Anyone who wants to put their views forward or wants to find out more should contact the PCT Communications Manager, Suzanne Gooch, on tel 01424 735676 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
The new centre will offer a bookable appointment service to both registered and non-registered patients from 8am to 8pm, seven days per week.
A walk-in service, available to anyone, will also operate during the same hours.
In due course there may be other additions to these 'core services' to provide a more comprehensive facility.
