New health walk in Alexandra Park to promote well-being

A NEW free health walk in Alexandra Park is set to start on Monday, May 12, and will take place every second Monday of the month.

The walk is a joint venture between Chances4Change Project and The Conservation Volunteers, and invloves a gentle stroll in the park along with mindfulness techniques.

With £1.8m funding from the Big Lottery Fund, the Chances4Change Project promotes healthy eating, physical activity and mental well-being in five areas in the South East, including East Sussex.

The Conservation Volunteers (TCV), which has various environmental projects throughout the UK, has been reclaiming green spaces since 1959 and its first project was in Box Hill, Surrey, with 40 volunteers.

Booking is not necessary and anyone interested in takng part should just turn up. The walk will start at 2.00pm from the Cafe in the Park.
