SUPPORT and services available for carers in Hastings are being promoted as part of National Carers Week.
A series of events around town are being held to ensure people looking after ill, frail or disabled family members, partners or friends, know about the help available to them.
These range from information stands to community events and include a coffee morning at 3 Welbeck Avenue in St Leonards tomorrow (Saturday) from 10am and noon, as well as an information stand in Priory Meadow Shopping Centre today (Friday) between 9am and 5pm and one at the Conquest’s Department of Psychiatry and Woodlands inpatient units on Sunday (June 15), which runs from 1.30pm and 4pm.
Carers Week ends on Sunday. To find out more and how to get involved visit www.carersweek.org. To find out more about the support available to carers visit www.eastsussex.gov.uk/socialcare/carers.
