THE first St Leonards Market takes place on Easter Saturday (April 19).
T-Chest Blues will be playing outside the Olde England pub, with Lindyhoppers dancing to entertain the shoppers.
The following week sees a garden-themed market, and there will be a mini-farm for children – and a fairy harpist.
The markets which ran at Christmas and for St Leonards Festival last year proved to be popular, and Anton Burton, from St Leonards Market, has been supported by the Central St Leonards Town Team to set up a regular event
Jan McTaggart, St Leonards Town Team chairman, said: “A weekly Saturday market will create a new community focus for St Leonards and encourage footfall to shops in our town centre.”
The market runs from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays from April 19. There are some spaces for stallholders from May 3. Anyone interested can email Anton Burton at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07927 568319.
