Man stabbed in stomach during altercation

A MAN was stabbed in the stomach during an altercation with two other men in St Leonards at night.

The 39-year-old victim was attacked in Old Church Road on May 2 at 9pm.

The victim was by his van when a man came up behind him and stabbed him in the stomach causing a puncture wound.

He then continued to punch and kick him.

The victim received hospital treatment for his wounds.

There are believed to be two suspects who are both described as white men, one described as lanky and over six feet in height.

PC Andy Lawrence said: “This was a vicious and unprovoked attack. Fortunately the victim wasn’t seriously injured.

“We are keen to trace these men and seek any information about a matte black Audi A3 with blacked out windows that could be linked to the incident. If anyone has any information please get in contact.”
