Man stabbed in flat

A man was stabbed in the legs and chest in his home on Monday (December 16).

Police said another man pushed his way into the victim’s home in Pelham Crescent at around 6am, knocking him to the ground before threatening him.

He stabbed the man in the legs and chest and cut him across the hand before stealing cash and leaving.

Detective Sergeant Ross Bartlett said: “This was a nasty attack on the victim, who was surprised by the man as he answered his door.

“I’d like to speak to anyone who was in Pelham Crescent early yesterday morning and could have seen or heard anything suspicious, including a man leaving a flat at about 6am.”
