'˜Man arrested' after Hastings manhunt with police helicopter

A man was arrested after a manhunt involving the police helicopter in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, May 18), according a police officer.

Insp Mark Evans tweeted a man was in custody after ‘excellent team work’ from the National Police Air Service helicopter and the roads policing unit.

The helicopter was spotted flying over the Old Town and East Hill by residents at around 1am for about half an hour.
