A CONTINGENT from Hastings and Schwerte Friendship Association recently visited Hastings’ twin town in Germany to stay with their host families.
They went on a trip to the beautiful Sauerland and included a walk through the wooded area of Wildwald Vosswinkel.
The 79 visitors also enjoyed a boat trip on Lake Sorpe in Langscheid before heading back to Schwerte.
Reg Wood, the association’s chairman, said: “Sadly the children from St Thomas of Canterbury church were not able to join us this year but we did have a few new members who all had a great time and will continue to host in the future.
“Another wonderful weekend was spent with our German friends and now we look forward to their visit on September 26 to 29.”
