A FORMER school teacher and music conductor has appeared before Ipswich Crown Court charged with sexually assaulting a boy.
Derek Cable, 73, of Robertson Terrace, Hastings denied three counts of indecent assault between January 1975 and May 1976.
The allegations relate to a school in Suffolk and where Cable was giving the boy private tuition.
Cable used to live in Edgecombe Road, Stowmarket, Suffolk but now lives in Hastings.
A trial date has been listed to start on Monday August 4 and the court granted him bail.
Cable appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on April 25 when he denied the charges.
Cable worked as a music director and conductor of a school concert band.
The band was highly-regarded in the UK and had toured Spain, France Germany and America.
