TICKETS for this year’s Hastings Beer and Music Festival are now on sale online from today (Friday).
The Battle of Hastings Proms event takes place on Thursday, July 3 while the main two-day festival is on Friday, July 4 and Saturday, July 5.
The event, held in Alexandra Park and run by Hastings Round Table, attracted more than 10,000 people last year over the three main music events, which showcases local talented up-and-coming bands.
In 2012, £104,000 was raised at the festival and a further £70,000 in 2013, with all the proceeds distributed to local good causes and charities.
Last year, 11,000 pints of cask ale, 8,000 pints of lager, 4,500 pints of cider and 2,000 glasses of Pimms were consumed by revellers.
The Battle of Hastings Proms event will see a special centenary commemoration of the First World War, where all the usual ‘pomp and circumstance’ is guaranteed.
Saturday, July 5 sees the Family Fun Day return, where families can enjoy an afternoon in Alexandra Park between noon and 5pm with face painting, bouncy castles, performing arts and many local charity stalls.
Last week organisers of Hastings Beer and Music Festival launched the Pitch 4 a Pitch competition, offering a chance for local charities or non-profit making organisations to showcase their cause and raise awareness at this year’s festival.
Tickets for the Battle of Hastings Proms are Thursday Proms £15 advance and £20 on the gate. Tickets for the Friday and Saturday are £10 advance and £12 on the gate.
