Drink tea, eat cake and raise money

ST MICHAEL’S Hospice has launched its Big Tea campaign.

The event, sponsored by 1066 Bakery, encourages supporters to host their own tea party on April 24, or on a day that suits them.

The host invites their friends and family to enjoy tea and cake and in return their guests make a donation to the hospice.

The money raised helps the charity provide palliative care services for adults with life-limiting illnesses throughout Hastings and Rother.

Jodie Cornford, the hospice’s fundraising assistant said: “This is the first year we have ran our own Big Tea campaign, and we are calling out for as many people as possible to host their own event in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.

“It’s a great excuse to invite your friends and family over for a cuppa and cake, whilst raising money for our great cause.”
