Donate unwanted gifts to help poorly animals

A CHARITY shop in St Leonards is urging locals to donate their unwanted Christmas gifts to help raise cash for poorly pets.

The PDSA charity store in London Road is on the hunt for festive presents that failed to impress this Christmas, from socks to gift sets, books, DVDs and everything in between.

Store manager Jenny Pearce said: “Christmas is a magical time of year but there are always a few gifts that don’t quite take our fancy, from ill-fitting jumpers to unwanted books, or DVDs you already own.

“But as the saying goes - one man’s junk is another man’s treasure. Your unwanted presents will suit someone else, so why not donate them and help raise vital funds for sick and injured pets.”

Based at 20A London Road, St Leonards PDSA store raises funds to provide PDSA-funded veterinary treatment in the local area.

The store also welcomes donations of good quality, pre-owned items including clothing, homeware, books, toys and DVDs. People can bring items to the store, Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm, or call to arrange a collection.
