A couple and their friend are cycling from Devon to St Leonards in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.

Cider lovers Fliss Barnett, together with her husband Ian and friend Stephen Heseltine will collect a bottle of Emma Stapleforth’s award-winning ‘Rumpy Scrumpy’ cider from her farm in Devon on August 20 and cycle 204 miles with it, all the way to the hospice in Upper Maze Hill.

Fliss, who is the hospice’s community service manager, said: “Working at the hospice I see first-hand how important fundraising is. So when a friend suggested we collect a bottle of cider from Devon and cycle back to the hospice with it, the joke soon turned into a reality and we have been training hard ever since.” To donate visit uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/CiderTour2014.
