A white man got out of the car and tried to force the man into the vehicle.

However the intended victim was able to escape and call the police, and the car drove off.

Although the incident happened last week, Sussex Police have only just released details about the kidnap bid.

Detective Constable Chris Milner said: “We are looking for anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.

“Luckily the victim was able to escape from his attacker and avoid a more serious incident.
