Witness appeal after graffiti attack

Police are appealing for witnesses after a building in Robertson Street, Hastings, was daubed with graffiti on Tuesday.

At 6.20pm a person wearing a dark-coloured, hooded top, pressed a board against the window panes of the building leaving an image of large bright yellow letters behind.

This was repeated six times but has now has been removed.

Inspector Gareth Evans, of Hastings neighbourhood police team, said: “We are keen to trace anyone who may have seen something suspicious at this time.

“Many people are out in town at this time of day and I would urge anyone with information to come forward and speak to us on the non emergency number 101 quoting serial 1517 of 22/1 or ring the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
