Volunteers wanted for day of action at Moveable Feast garden

VOLUNTEERS are wanted for a day of action at the Moveable Feast Community Garden.

Help is needed to get the garden, in 59 Western Road, ready for the 2013 growing season.

The Action Day will take place on March 2 from 10am to 2pm.

Tasks include fixing the fences, moving the shed, laying more pathways, and sowing seeds.

All are welcome, whether newcomers or regular visitors to the garden.

Hot soup and refreshments will be on offer as well as a garden tour.

Opened in June 2012, the Moveable Feast Community Garden transformed a derelict patch of land in St Leonards into a community resource open to all to grow plants and vegetables, share knowledge and skills, cook food, and has become an inviting community space.

March 2 will also see the launch of the Moveable Feast’s workshop series.
