Three arrested following flat burglary

THREE men were arrested after a flat next to a take away in the town centre was burgled.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the Flame Grills kebab shop in Havelock Road in the early hours of December 30.

A man was evicted from the Flame Grills kebab shop in Havelock Road shop at around 1am and detectives would like to hear from any customers who were around at that time.

Detective constable Naomi Morrison said: “We are also interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen five men entering the flat next door to the Flame Grills later on that night at about 5.30am. They left a short time later in two cars which we have identified.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 209 of 30/12 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

Three men, aged 28, 27 and 26, all from London, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and all bailed to February 25.
