Spaces left on new counselling course for adults

A NEW counselling course for adults is being run by Horizons CIC.

The NCFE Level Two Award in Helping Skills is to run on Mondays in St Leonards from 6.30pm to 8.30pm starting February 25 and ending July 2013.

The qualification is for anyone working with people and will be particularly beneficial to those in care, health and education work, and costs £250 for commercial students and £220 for community members.

Horizons CIC is devoted to adult education in Hastings and St Leonards, and offers a range of free qualifications alongside fee-paying courses.

In 2012 the organisation celebrated successes with achievements in diplomas, GCSEs and a range of Level One and Two qualifications.

Manager Sonia Plato said: “Our fee-paying courses are part of our strategy to deliver good, value-for-money education, which local adults want and will benefit from, where the profit is reinvested in learning for the community, to continue serving local people with free courses.”
