Police catch man in bush with socks on his hands
Police arrested a man hiding in a bush with socks on his hands after a tip-off from the public.
Robert Henderson, 34, of Woodland Vale in St Leonards, was found in bushes by police after reports he had been seen acting suspiciously near Arbourvale, also in St Leonards.
He has been charged with two counts of attempted burglary and one of criminal damage and bailed to appear in court on Tuesday.
PC Duncan Cleverley said: "This arrest came as a result of calls from the public and our thanks go out to them or calling straight away."
