Police raid nets £30,000 in cash

TWO men were arrested in drugs raids on two properties which also netted £30,000 in cash.

Police swooped on a property in Castle Gardens at 10.30am on Thursday, February 28, and at a second one in Wellington Square half an hour later.

As well as the money, officers found a substance they believe to be crack cocaine. The value of the suspected drug is not yet known.

A 33-year-old and a 36-year-old from Hastings were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug and money laundering. They have been released on bail until May 19.
