Picture Gallery: Battle Bonfire

BATTLE Bonfire may have been scaled back this year, but some have hailed the event as one of the best ever.

Bonfire societies from across the region, including local societies such as Rye, Robertsbridge and Hastings, marched proudly down the centre of Battle on Saturday night in a firey show of support.

The event has been praised by the emergency services as trouble-free with no serious incidents or injuries reported.

For a full report of the event, see this Friday’s Battle Observer.
