A GROUP of fine art students are taking their work from a conventional exhibition space to the railway stations of Sussex.

Five third year degree students from Sussex Coast College and the University of Brighton have each contributed a piece to the group show An Industrial Process.

It will be going on display in the waiting room between platforms two and three at Lewes station in the first week of April, before making its way down the line stopping off at Newhaven, Bishopsgate, and finishing in the booking hall at Seaford, by the middle of the month. The artists are Daniel Dowling, David Wright, Lyn Dale, Louise Etgart, and Flora Camacho, and their work is a mixture of painting, printing and mixed media.

Daniel said: “We were looking for a space to display our work, and one of the artists is a member of a rail group. Through them we approached Southern.”
