Man robbed in Hastings street

A man was robbed and attacked in Hastings on Monday (January 28).

The 29-year old local man, who is white, and had short dark hair, was walking north towards Queens Road between 2am and 2.10am when the robbery happened.

Paramedics treated the victim for cuts to his face and head.

Police believe there are two suspects. Both are described as white, in their 30s and about 5ft 7ins.

One is described as being of stocky build with short dark hair and stubble on his face. The second suspect is described as being of athletic build.

Detective Sergeant Tony Webb said: “We think the two men followed the victim from a bar in the town centre and punched him to the ground before taking his wallet and phone.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 quoting serial 0074 of 28/1. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
