Man injured in attempted robbery

A MAN was attacked during an attempted robbery as he walked to his car in the evening.

The victim, who is in his 40s, was in Kenilworth Road when the incident took place on February 5 at 8pm.

He sustained a minor injury to his head but did not require hospital treatment.

Fortunately nothing was stolen and the offenders got away empty handed.

Police said two suspects were on mountain bikes at the time of the offence and were described as white males, aged between 17 and 25 and wearing dark clothing.
