Man, 60, rescued from flat fire

A MAN had to be rescued by firefighters after he is believed to have fallen asleep while cooking in the early hours.

Firefighters pulled the 60-year-old man out of his living room from a property in Charles Road West at 3am.

He was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. The flat was

severely damaged.
