Looking for victims of New Global Visions 2009 optician scam

IQBAL Nabi, a former optician who was last year found guilty of making fraudulent claims to the NHS, is due to be sentenced on Monday (March 4).

New Global Visions, in Robertson Street, received cash for eye tests that were never carried out, as well as for contact lenses and glasses with incorrect prescriptions, between January and November 2009.

Both Nabi, of Slough, and colleague Helen James, of Dunstable, were charged with £5,000 of fraud, and James pleaded guilty.

We would like to hear from anyone who was a victim of this scam. Call the newsdesk on 01424 865782 or email hastings.observer@jpress.co.uk.
